We are company that is extremely passionate about concrete. Jonathan had his hands emersed in precast concrete in 2011. He discovered the versatility of how it could bring beauty and function into a home. He pitched an idea to his wife to redo their kitchen with this beautiful substance and she agreed.
This first project came to life in their little two-car garage. With a couple of failed attempts in the beginning (concrete is tough) he finally emerged with a finished project and a passionate fire for concrete design began. Jonathan knew that if he was going to do this for others there was going to need to be some training. Concrete Countertop Institute was that solution. Off he flew to North Carolina to lean this new world of GFRC and how to create art in the form of concrete. With the new knowledge and a passion to create the couple launce into plans for their own company in Salem OR and in the next year they achieved this goal, but as life would have it they also started to grow a family. This little bundle of joy lead them to step back from their business and move to Washington. Were Jonathan’s skill of concrete only grew working under others and learning the intricate forms concrete can take. With another baby on the way he stepped into a QC management at Old Castle infostructure to provide a stable environment for his family.
Oh, but the call for his own business has reached his heart again and with years of experience now under him and a renewed fire Jonathan is Proud to call Packer Concrete Design his third child and long-lost love a full reality again!
